Donna Kay answers general questions about
diabetes. Talk to your doctor for specific medical advice.

Dear Mindy,
You had asked if the book was more geared for Type 1 or Type 2 diabetes.
The short answer is, the book is very informative for both.
Having said that, the book is a mix of my personal experiences with type 2
diabetes, combined with medical information and lifestyle advice that is
appropriate for anyone with either type of diabetes. The bulk of the book
is focused on coming to terms with the disease, and how to integrate
diabetes into your life, rather than feeling like you have to fight it all
the time. Supporting that premise are several specific examples of how to
accomplish daily management goals, along with daily management charts that
help you track your progress to see very specifically how your diabetes
management is progressing. This allows a patient to best work with their
health care team to reach overall great health, even with diabetes.
Thanks so much for sending your question to our web site.
